Lower Lonsdale vs Central Lonsdale: which one fits you?

Checked 4 October 2026 · next review January 2027

Both are in the City of North Vancouver, and the City has long planned them as the two high-density centres along Lonsdale Avenue. Lower Lonsdale is the waterfront: the SeaBus, Lonsdale Quay and The Shipyards. Central Lonsdale is the civic core, with City Hall, the main library and the new Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre. Most homes in both are apartments, so the choice is usually about what you want at your door.
